On the verge

On The Verge Perth turns street verges and front yards into bespoke native gardens, using Western Australian plants to lift biodiversity and give local birds and insects a haven. The business offers consultation, design and installation, and garden maintenance. Each job starts with getting to know the client's budget and the verge's potential, and installation follows local council guidelines, with the team flagging when council approval is needed. Gardens are watered with water-saving drip line irrigation, which uses at least 50% less water than irrigation for a lawn and keeps upkeep low. New gardens need more frequent maintenance while they establish, then less once plants settle, and a bespoke maintenance plan is available. Some councils offer subsidies on native plants and mulch, and a waterwise verge rebate of up to $500. Rated 5.0 from 2 Google reviews, both five stars.
